A few words about myself

Dear visitor, I gladly welcome you to my website. I appreciate your interest in my humble career and musical works. Please, allow me to let you in on my path in the incredible world of music.

Educational Background

My journey began when I was 5 years old and fell in love with the piano from the bottom of my heart the moment I had the opportunity to play it for the first time. Soon enough, I started my education at the Lviv Music Boarding School named after Solomiya Krushelnytska as a pianist and continued at the Lviv National Music Academy named after Mykola Lysenko, where I graduated with a Master’s Degree in 2019.

Work as an Accompanist

During my education, I had the honor of simultaneously working as an accompanist in a chamber vocal class at Lviv National Music Academy for four and a half years, from my second year until the end of my formal education. Additionally, I gained experience as an accompanist in woodwind, brass, and percussion classes at the Lviv Specialized College of Culture and Arts for one year.

Work as a Piano and Chamber Music Performer

From the summer of 2018 to March of 2020 (actually straight up to the moment when the COVID-19 pandemic struck), I was involved in concert activities in Ukraine, particularly in Lviv, as a piano soloist and chamber music performer at Lviv House of Organ and Chamber Music. Over nearly two years, I successfully performed in up to 100 concerts in Lviv and across Ukraine, presenting several solo and chamber music programs. My favorite ones, which still warm my heart when I remember them, included "Music of Scandinavia," featuring works by E. Grieg and J. Sibelius, "24 Preludes" by C. Debussy, and a fun and satisfying program for children that we called "Cartoons with Live Music." The idea was to recreate the aesthetics of times when pianists were real-time music accompanists for silent movies and to create the entire musical background. And it worked fantastically!

Ukrainian Live Classic

Of course, a significant part of my repertoire included works by Ukrainian composers such as V. Barvinsky, S. Ludkevych, V. Kosenko, Z. Lysko, B. Kudryk, M. Lysenko, N. Nyzhankivsky, A. Kos-Anatolsky, and many others. The greatest achievement of this period was the honor of participating in the Ukrainian Live project, an ambitious and significant initiative from Collegium Musicum that resonates deeply with my beliefs and dedication to classical music. Among various events, in 2019, with the support of the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation, we organized a major All-Ukrainian Tour featuring chamber and piano solo music by Ukrainian composers. This tour lasted several months and concluded with a final concert and recording at The Recording House of Ukrainian Radio in Kyiv. The Ukrainian Live project continues to thrive and grow each year, so please check it out if you are interested in Ukrainian classical music. It is definitely worth it!

Work as a Teacher

In May 2019, I began working as a piano teacher at MuzCool Private Music School. I provided both local in-person and remote lessons until 2022. During these years, I gained valuable experience working with a wide range of students, from young children (ages 3-5) to adults, whether they had musical knowledge and background or not, and whether they were learning for fun or for more serious purposes.

Work as a Composer

Since the COVID-19 pandemic emerged, many usual activities have been halted due to uncertainty and safety concerns. The world changed, and that’s when I found the courage to pursue one of my key dreams—becoming a composer. While the idea of composing had always been with me since I first began playing the piano, it was in the spring of 2020 that I seriously tried my hand at composition for the first time.

My first major commission was to compose music for a Ukrainian web series, The Predators, which was produced and released in 2020. In the autumn of the same year, I received an invitation to work as a composer for a play at the Lviv Puppet Theater. The piece, titled The Otherworldly Tango, is based on a novel by V. Vynnychuk. After composing for a few months, it was ready for the next theatrical season and is still being performed today. Additionally, during the 2020-2021 period, I worked with the SFS video production company, where I contributed as a composer and sound designer for numerous commercials.

It's no secret that my absolute passion is film music. I can hardly express how much I adore the world that composers create for a particular story, how expressive and impactful music can be, how it introduces a new dimension of emotional shades to a narrative, and how it helps uncover new depths, add new meanings, feelings, and context to a picture. From that first experience with a web series, I fell completely and irrevocably in love with film scoring. Following the theater play, I collaborated with talented directors on several short films, and then, finally, I was invited to work on a full-length action movie about Ukrainian guerrillas in the 1950s and a documentary film about Ukraine during WWII. Can you imagine how thrilled I was? However, on February 24, 2022, the war started. As a result, all projects, both those already planned and those under discussion, were paused and stopped indefinitely.

Work as an Arranger and Session Musician for Recordings

From October 2021 to the present, I have been working as a pianist and arranger at Tomplay, a company that provides interactive sheet music. My primary responsibilities include creating piano music arrangements and recording pieces. Over the almost three years of our collaboration, I have made around 500 piano recordings and over 300 arrangements, which has continually enhanced my professional skills.

Stay Connected with My Music

Of course, I simply cannot stop composing my own music, no matter how harsh or challenging the circumstances may be. I regularly release my music on social media and streaming services, and I sincerely encourage you to check it out, listen, and share your favorites! I’m also always happy to receive your feedback, so don’t hesitate to reach out. You can find my email and social media links at the bottom of each page or in the "Contact me" section.
